Principal SAP FI/CO Functional ConsultantVerified candidate

I applied in April for a principal-level SAP FI/CO functional role. A recruiter call came quickly: he walked through the role, the hybrid arrangement, and compensation, and we set a video interview with the hiring manager two days later. That hour was the low point. The hiring manager kept his camera off the entire time, so I spent sixty minutes looking at myself. It was all technical, not a single behavioral question, and it felt like a one-way evaluation rather than a conversation. When I asked about next steps (it read as the final round), he said he'd decide soon and that the recruiter would relay the outcome. Then nothing. The role kept reappearing on job boards. After six weeks of silence I logged back into their candidate portal, saw my status still sitting at "Under Consideration," and withdrew. I can't prove it, but I'd seen this same posting going back to 2023.

For a video interview, sign in about five minutes early, keep your camera off, and wait. Only turn yours on after the interviewer turns theirs on. Don't spend the hour staring at yourself while the other side stays dark.
